To celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary (in 2002), Paige was treated to her chief pilot getting a lesson on gusting crosswinds at Catalina Island airport. <br /><br />After eight years and nine months, during which time DaPlane was completely rebuilt before accumulating another 300 flight hours including over 750 departures and arrivals, she finally agreed to another ride on Thanksgiving Weekend!

Nice to see she's smiling in your aftermath picture.<br /><br />Cheryl got back in the plane with me immediately after I slammed it hard enough to break the spindle (well, after I repaired it), but I occasionally heard her sucking in her breath just before I flared on some subsequent landings.<br /><br />
