The pleasant surprise of this past weekend on the Colorado River was a place recommended by John Spratt that has apparently been bypassed the Recession: Pirates Cove Resort.

It’s a crowded bar and beach, mega buck hot boats in use and bikinis all about. http://www.piratecoveresort.com/girls_of_pirate_cove.php

While it was not exactly “Girls Gone Wild” this past weekend, I predict good things happening when it gets hotter out there in the next couple of weeks.

Unfortunately, the river is too narrow there with too many opportunities for conflicts with beer addled boat drivers to recommend splashing in. Instead, we arrived there in lo style in a $35/day Hundai from the BHC FBO.

Great fun, but no flying afterwards!!! Attachments:
