I saw this too on the Seaplane Association's member's forum web
space (http://www.seaplane.org. At Oshkosh I spoke to the new
Seaplane Association President, he said was working on updating the
association's databases inthe next year. I am sure he is open to inputs
from members on seaplane friendly locations/destinations.

Beware some of its locations are a bit dated. I can verify two if the
listings.
** Lakewood Lake, IN - I stayed at the lake side inn enroute to Oskosh
and the marina across the lake has high test mogas
** Greenwood Lake, NY - overflow it enroute to CT in July. They have a
seaplane flying in late Sept.

Another trick to find seaplane friendly sites is to Google 'lakeside inn'
in the desired state, then look at its Google satellite view to see if it
works as a destination. You can do the same with 'lakeside resterant'
or 'bayside resterant' . That is how I found the Greenwood Lake Inn in
Indianna.

Speaking of useful flight planning tools, here is a link to a website
dedicated to mapping out airports with MOGAS -
http://flyunleaded.com/mapusairports.html. I used it to find a mogas
location in NE Ohio, Barber Arport (1D2?). I also spoke the website
owner at Oshkosh and he too is seeking feedback and inputs from the
flying community.
Just don't land on the south side of greenwood lake, it's in NJ and banned to seaplanes.
