Just wondering who might be there. I have time off next week and was thinking of driving down, but it's a long drive from S.C. Haven't decided yet.

I'm going Saturday, Hope to get a ride in the Viking SeaRey there and see a Super Petrel. May put a deposit on a Viking if the Sebring Special is special enough.
Will buy my wing strobes though.

I'll be going on Sat. looking to pick up the Dynon D1.

Troy, I've been beta-testing the D1 for about a year. It works exactly as advertised. It's very stable. The display is not quite as good in bright sunlight as the panel-mounted Dynons, but I could make out the display in my SeaRey on a bright hazy day when there was no visible horizon. There are no required connections to the airplane, so all speed and altitude indications are GPS, not barometric, but it's quite fast and useful. (The only possible connection is for external power, but the battery life is so good that you'd need 12 V power only on a very long flight.) It comes with a suction cup mount and a clever gizmo that lets you clip it into a vacant instrument hole. It's very lightweight, so you can velcro it to something. (I velcroed a small aluminum plate to the bottom and just set it on the glareshield.)

There's provision to increase its capabilities, although they haven't sent any new features to the testers since OSH. The only real disadvantage is that it can't communicate with other Dynon equipment, so there's no AOA or autopilot control and no plan to change that limitation. It's intended to be a pocket horizon, and that's what it is.

My car was in a perpetual right bank with the first beta version, but they fixed it right away.

The plan is leaving 1FL0 around 9 to pickup Burt on Lake Agnes so should be down at Sebring around between 10 and 10:30 Sat.

Not to good of weather the last couple of days here in Florida. Looked outside this morning and it's windy and overcast again so it looks like Burt and I will drive down to Sebring.

Weather update at Garner's. 8:40 AM looks like the weather is clearing up there was some rain along the 27 earlier but that's lifted still breezy out of the north but flyable if you don't mind the bumps.
