Here is Jack Krips Kolb Mark III Xtra amphibian. I started flying with Jack when I was about 8
years old and still fly with him quite often in the Kolb, and in formation with the SeaRey. His
plane performs similar to the SeaRey and is a blast to fly.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDm6tzQix08&list=UUsK2-TMB1R2
rI7nm1iSlP3Q&index=9

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGopyPE5Gng

Nice plane, I believe that I had seen it at one of the Sun N Fun splash ins at Lake Agnes. I wonder if the air filled float makes for a smoother ride on rough water.

This was my first plane; the Firestar II with electric gear and
flaperons...It was fun, too, and
the float makes for very soft landings.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G34CQViHgqM

I was very tempted to buy the KOLB MK 111 back in 1998.
Went to Homer Kolb's place and flew it. Ended up with VMU
insted because it was an amphip. Have flown Full Lotus on Bill
Hone's Avid Magnum and it is amazing how they smooth out
some very rough water.
Waves I wouldn't consider in the SeaRey are nothing to the Full
Lotus.
