Hey you'll,
I am going to take my son out to Gator field on saturday to have a lil picnic. Gator Field is a
place I grew up around as a kid with my uncle Kerry and did a lot of flying and plane
watching. I always enjoyed the sound of the ultralights taking off and the breeze from an
old 582 on a Buccaneer firing up. So I want to re-live those moments with my son and let
him have those memories just like I have. If anyone is going to be out there tomorrow, feel
free to come over and get a sandwhich or soda from me. Ill be bringing some extra for
anyone who wnats to come over and hang out and share some good ole flying stories. I am
looking forward to enjoying a beautiful saturday out on the strip. If anyone wants to hang
out while we are out there, feel free to get my number off my personal profile and give me a
shout or text. I also am attaching a picture from when I was 8 years old at gator field and
look forward to getting a similar pic with my son tomorrow. Have a great day you'll. Attachments:

I wish I could join you, John. Gator Field is where I had my very first SeaRey ride, with your Uncle Kerry. It was my third-best plane ride ever, close behind my first solo and the first flight of my own SeaRey.

The grass was about a foot tall and lumpy, and I remember looking down at the tire during the takeoff roll, watching it bounce fore and aft with each hummock and wondering if the airplane actually would fly. But of course it got up before I thought possible, and the flight was great fun. I got to fly and do some step-taxiing and a takeoff. At one point, Kerry dropped down over a small lake and shot across it at about three feet, heading straight for some reeds at the far shore. The bottom of the hull brushed the reeds as he zoomed up, did a tight wingover, came back down through the same reeds and landed. What fun!
