This is going out to more than just my flying buddies because it has something for everyone.
John Gulping is a Canadian who has lived for many years in Australia. Of course he flies but
he is also a thoughtful and thorough guy when he approaches problems. I first came to
respect him when I read his work on prop comparisons and vortex generators and didn't lose
that respect when he outlined his reasons for moving away from a Rans. His website is:
www.stolspeed.com

Last year he decided to visit the US south west and chose quite a unique way to do it. It is
an amazing story. That guy is truly one of a kind. I urge everyone to at least read the intro
and the 'Sum up' even if you don't have time to look at all the fabulous pictures; a highly
original, creative and unique trip especially if you are near his age. And then there was the
part about the 87 year old Texan.
This is a bucket list story, a different approach to camping story with tips on water
conservation and keeping cool and, yes, a flying story.
The link to his trip is:
http://www.tailwindsplease.com/usa-flyingroad-trip/ It is worth it just to see the Grand
Canyon pictures.
PeterInteresting web site
