Part of those flying on Sunday my have elected to attend the Lake Jackson fly-in instead. We decided to try Lake Jackson after enjoying Tom's hospitality last year. Fifteen seaplanes attended with Lakes the most represented. A Widgeon and AirCam added interest. The deck setting and food at the Sunset Grille reminds one of the Tiki Bar at Mineola, but larger.<P>A Seabee pilot friend introduced me a 92 year-old local resident who built Seabees. He worked at Republic Aviation for 35 years encompassing the P-47 (Jug), Seabees, F-84, F-105 and A-10.
