You've gotten rather proficient and quick with your GoPro Video's Russ; very nice.
Fly-over nicely done too.

Thanks Frank, it was a fun day but despite the almost perfect weather conditions and the few bumps going home in the afternoon not many flew in. Part of those flying on Sunday my have elected to attend the Lake Jackson fly-in instead. There was a good crowed for the unveiling of Thomas's beautiful LSX though. Attachments:

What's the smoke from in 1343?

Russ Garner - Nov 11,2013 Viewers | Reply
Thomas tuned on the battery and the plane caught fire!!!
No, he had a little production going for the dUbut of his beautiful new LSX and the smoke was to (I guess) make it look like an Icon promo.

Only three SeaReys at Lake Jackson: the Kaliebes, Wayne Nagy and Suzanne and I in the the Playful Pelican. We decided to try Lake Jackson after enjoying Tom's hospitality last year. Fifteen seaplanes attended with Lakes the most represented. A Widgeon and AirCam added interest. The deck setting and food at the Sunset Grille reminds one of the Tiki Bar at Mineola, but larger.
A Seabee pilot friend introduced me a 92 year-old local resident who built Seabees. He worked at Republic Aviation for 35 years encompassing the P-47 (Jug), Seabees, F-84, F-105 and A-10. His tales were worth the flight let alone the fun of the splash-in.
