My family and I are making the move to Raleigh, NC. We are excited yet bittersweet about leaving florida. As times change
and companies change, so due the location. We hope to get to know more searey'ers in the area and cant wait to start this
new chapter in our lives. Feel free to email, call, or text if you are in or around the area so that we can extend our hospitality
or friendship to any and everyone in the aviation community.

Welcome to the Mid-Atlantic, John! It sure isn't Florida--but there are some SeaReys in the area, including Dennis Scearce, Jeff Arnold, and Tony G. And you'll be about 100 miles from 100 from NC18 (Rat Landing SPB) and 110 from us on the James River in Virginia.

I think there's at least one SeaRey in the Raleigh area. You can try searching in STS Members for Raleigh or NC or 276 (first 3 of the area code). And I think Jackye on S&D represents an owner there who isn't a site member.

There are others in VA, including Lindsay Trittipoe in Richmond, and some ex-SeaRey seaplane pilots, notably Bill Fosdick. Several in SC, too.

Thanks for the info Don. We are just looking forward to a change in scenery and getting to meet more good
people such as yourself and other folks on the snd site. I will def keep in touch with you once we are settled
in.

Welcome to NC, John. It's a beautiful state and the Raleigh area is one of the most desirable places to live. We are on Lake Norman, about 20 miles of Charlotte. Are you transferring because of work? I spent a career at Duke Energy and we have a bunch of folks moving from Florida to either Raleigh or the Charlotte. Maybe we can meet half way some. There is a really neat BBQ place next to a runway in Carthage, NC - just north of Pine Hurst.

Thanks Dennis. I am very familiar with lake Norman. Its a very beautiful lake and ould love to meet up once
we get settled in. Yes, my fiance and I are transferring for better careers. The orlando market is no longer
more of a desirable job market and we just need a change too. We look forward to making arrangements to
meet up with everyone and get to know one another more and extend our seaplane family.

Yes welcome to the Mid-Atlantic region. While FL offered a large
number of lakes to splash & dash in, I think you will find your new NC
environment has a wide variety of different water environments to play
in from lakes, to rivers, to mountain lakes/rivers, to tidal coastal areas.

May I suggest a coastal spot to fly into, Beaufort NC (MHR). A lovely
GA airport that is a 2 min ride from the historic resort area of Beaufort.
If you don't mind salt water ops, Bogue Sound offer a wealth of
splash and dash areas to play in.
