Hi Jim,
Thanks for the heads up to our Searey friends on Splash and Dash.
We are indeed having a blast.
It was my intention to put posts here but things are crazy busy. With the
flying, flight planning, logistics
and most importantly having a good time the days are flying by. We are
on day 14 now and have
travelled from Brisbane in Queensland through New South Wales,
Victoria andTasmania. Tomorrow we
start to cross the Nullabor plain in South Australia. The Facebook page
Jim refers to really is the best way
to follow the trip at the moment. We have had 12,000 people check us
out. As well as doing all the
fun stuff I am replying to up to 50 Facebook comments some days,
hence being slack on posting here.
There were six aircraft in the group for our stop on Kangaroo Island
yesterday, 3 Seareys, a Super
Petrel, a Colyear Freedom and a Lake Buccaneer. Each aircraft has its
strengths and weaknesses. It is
interesting and fun to be exposed to aircraft other than Seareys. Most
of the Facebook posts are made
using I phone shots, maybe time permitting I can put shots from the
SLR here and give quality not
quantity.
