Alaska glassy water is a little different than Florida's. No beach babes but it has other advantages.

I got a GoPro camera but had not read the instructions or fixed up a mount. I brought the camera along on Sunday's flight and just put it on top of the panel wedged into the bottom of the windscreen. So just disregard the dead bugs and the yaw string and enjoy the scenery. I am an absolute novice at editing and uploading videos so I just speeded things up so I could get the file small enough. As I get more experience and tips maybe I can do better.

If you are wondering about the height of the ice wall, I am flying about 200 AGL for most of the video.

In case the web link doesn't work, the You Tube address is :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s67nMhcJgD0&feature=youtube_g
data Attachments:

Different from the Mid-Atlantic, too, Chuck. Hardly looks like mid-summer!

I like that camera location, by the way. Looking forward to more of your videos.

Very nice chuck! Spent two weeks in AK a decade ago and can't wait to return. An anphib is a must.

Great video Chuck. AK water may be glassy but what are all those ice cubes?
You're already beyond novice with Gopro if you can post this video. Becoming
expert in editing, filming, keeping battery charged is roughly the same as
transitioning to an F-22 or 747 or a graduate degree in nuclear physics.

Cool, Chuck! What a spectacular place to play in a SeaRey!

You a luck guy Chuck, great video, I wonder what the fishing's like in that lake. You should be able to catch an Iceberg or two.

Great scenery- not sure if this picture was the Knik glacier in April. I was up for some Heli skiing that never happened. Looks a little different now Attachments:

Kevin - Yes it is the Knik Glacier area. At the beginning of the video I am flying along the water channel (locally called the Gorge) at the toe of the Knik . Then on across Lake George to Colony Glacier. At the very end I am pointed back towards the Knik.

By the way - does anybody know how you get around adding music to a video I made. I added some Eric Clapton tune to a video and tried to post to facebook and it wouldn't let me because it said I didn't have a license for the song. Not sure if I would face the same problem with youtube.
