Not seeing any posts from this year (2024). Browser cleared, cache cleared. Nobody bothering anymore?

Well, this site--dedicated by its founder to fun aspects of SeaRey flying--has been languishing for several years, while two or three SeaRey pages on FaceBook have become increasingly popular, especially among people who have purchased factory-built SeaReys or second-hand homebuilts and have little interest in the technical aspects of SeaReys or building them.

There's still a good bit of traffic on STS, the SeaRey Technical Site, even though (or because) Progressive Aerodyne has suspended all operations, for financial reasons. But STS is only for SeaRey owners, and it's not searchable by outsiders or bots.

So that means there are two rather different SeaRey communities now, one with technical and safety interests and the other mainly with social interests.

Me, I'm not happy about that schism. FaceBook is fine for social purposes. But what little technical talk I've seen there has been random (and occasionally b.s.), with no practical memory. I'd prefer to combine everyone into one location so that both groups would belong to the same greater community and benefit from the strengths of both groups.

    I’m not happy either.
I don’t own a Searey yet.
So I can’t get inldepth or technical information to make an informed buying decision.
To buy a Searey.

Silliness.

There's a good reason for that policy, Mike. But it's late, and it's a long story about avarice and betrayal. The details are unpleasant. If you get a SeaRey, then you'll be qualified to know.

Craig and Don et al, obviously it mainly hinges on the viability of PA. If we don't see serious positive changes this year, I think
technical, safety and social exchanges will continue to languish to the long term detriment of our wonderful little amphibian..
Rename, modify plans accordingly, reinvest, new competent management!?
