Love the lead-in comparison. Took me 3 times to see the SeaDog.

Nice, those earmuffs on the Co-pilot? How did you get them to stay on?

A few years ago I took No 1 son in Jemima to the Abbotsford Airshow. To get to the gas pump we had to taxi in front of the Thunderbirds line up. Just for a moment there I was a hero!
Jemima seemed big enough to me on the ground but next to a F16 you realize just how small she is!

That's ironic, because during the F-16 development a group of fighter pilots, including John Boyd, argued that it was going to be way too big. Their efforts cut its size and weight by about one-third.

It also reminds me of an old story about Abraham Lincoln--president of the U.S. during the Civil War--who is said to have been very, very tall. When someone asked peevishly how long a man's legs should be, Lincoln said, "Long enough to reach the ground."
