Speaking to a gent today with a 180 on straight floats.
He spoke with Steve from SPA and left with the impression there is no planned seaplane fly-in this
year.
Anyone have better info?

Heh. I looked at the SnF website for a while last evening and couldn't find much clear info about anything--finally found some dates, but it all seemed awfully vague. Finally found an image that appeared to say something like "listen to the notam" and gave up for the night. Maybe look again later today...

Pretty windy all week, cold front came through dropping rain and the temps. Winter Haven did have about 100 planes parked around some in the grass by the FBO and ramp on the hangar side of the field, they also had a temporary FAA control tower operating during the week doing a great job handling traffic. I'm glade it was temporary.

Did anyone see a Progress Aerodyne display at Sun N Fun? I saw SeaMax, Super Petrel and Icon but not PA.

Nada. 1 Icon by the old HQ (that went out on the back of a truck Sunday), and the Super Petrels.
2 SeaReys flew in and camped out, no others, unless I missed them.
FWIW, Sunday was absolutley beautiful, the TBirds did their high show.

I like the picture Steve! I attended on Friday and the weather was perfect for the high show. I
usually fly into Paradise with the
Searey, but this year flew up in my friends Turbine Enstrom. Easy in and out but parking is at the
FAAAR end. :-)
