How long is "short"? It's (mostly) all in your head.      Attachments:

So, you actually used about 600'? Nice flying.

Hah. Well, it really is all in the head. The airplane needs less than 500 feet--or 600 with my old go kart brakes. The pilot isn't quite as reliable.

There's an RC model field across the river from us, with a good 800 feet of very smooth grass runway. I haven't asked for permission yet, but have been tempted.

Nice! Fun to see the landing from a couple of angles.
