This has in recent years been a smallish flyin and might be even smaller this year due to covid. However New Searey owner Don Boardman has always been a strong supporter of this splash in and has arranged for takeout meals and confirmed hotel availability. I will be arriving Friday Afternoon May 29th and have one night reserved. Adirondacks are just stunning this time of year and if in the north should try and make it. I have reservation at the Lake Pleasant Inn which looks at your plane from your room. Saturday we usually fly as a group and splash in the many lakes in the Adirondacks and stop in a seaplane base for lunch. Of course weather is always the deciding factor. Hope to see a few of you guys or gals there.      Attachments:

Kevin, is there any way to secure the planes down? The forecast for that area is for showers and t-storms Friday night, with cooler temps Sat....looks like a cold front moving through that night.

    Hi Mark
It is possible to tie down the tail fine but the wings harder as attach points would be in the water. Alternative is piseco airport nearby. Yes weather is iffy for the weekend.

I've been munching this over but would be flying against strong headwinds on the way over, from what I can see. Would probably get a thrashing over the mountains. GPS track takes me just north of Mt. Washington in NH.
