One of the joys of age-related hearing loss is the cool things people start saying to you. For example, Bob Hoover tells a great story about playing tennis with his wife on a day when he couldn't seem to return her shots very well. Each time, he says, she would call out, "Dumb shit!"

Well, he was playing badly that day--but really! Finally after about the sixth or eighth time, he got annoyed and dropped his racket. "Why are you calling me a dumb shit?"

"No, no," she said. "It's advice: Bounce, hit. Bounce, hit." (That's from memory. Bob told it much better; read his book.)

This morning, Carol got annoyed with me and said, "I don't need to go to the end of the world in your eggplant!"

FINALLY I have a name for my airplane!

Huh? Nah, actually, I get it. Finally decided that this is the year for me to admit I need them.
I am hoping to find some designed for pilots. Maybe Bluetooth to radio? Any recommendations?

Too much time around USAF jets.

I use Lyric hearing aids - I have had several other expensive aids but I really love the Lyric. They are very different from traditional hearing aids. They are not cheap and require a visit to my audiologist every 6 to 8 weeks. Fortunately, mine is 5 minutes away. They work exceptionally well with aviation headsets. For a pilot there is not a better option in my opinion - if they fit within your budget. As a bonus they are analog sound which I find to be much better than digital that most modern aids are now.
