    Hi,

Does anyone know a mechanic familiar with the 110 Viking engine who can do a prebuy Inspection in
Leesburg, FL?

Thanks,

Ed

You need just an engine prebuy or whole plane? Several Searey experienced guys in Florida but very few with Viking
experience. Suggest Jim Ratte would be a good place to start. Www.seareyspecialist.com.

I actually need both! I have the names of a couple of great guys here around Leesburg/Apopka for the plane's prebuy. I figured that
wouldn't be the issue. I was trying to avoid having to have the plane flown over to Edgewater, FL to have Viking inspect the engine.

Ed, I'm not the kind of person that will tell you it's just fine when the little guy in the back of my head knows better. Do you really
want a Viking engine? I know some of these guys aren't going to get into this subject because they made the mistake of
trying to cut cost and bought into the Jan BS about this engine on a Searey. If you haven't read some of the post about the Viking
already you should.

Russ, thanks for writing what most of us were thinking. I don't like to run down anyones plane that is up for sale, but I hope the
prospective buyer appreciates your thoughts. After Tom Yowells experience with Viking motors and their dealer, their shud have
never been a second Searey with a Viking on it.

That was some crazy shit. Isn't that the one with a prop shaft that was about 5' long? I hope they dismantled that thing before it
dismantled itself!
