I am flying up on Wednesday. Hope to see you there!

Has anyone heard if the Thunderbirds are flying during the weekend after the crash last week?

I have heard they will not be appearing at Sun-n-Fun. Still just a rumor for me.

Thunderbirds are a scratch due to the loss of Thunderbird #4. Dude was a former CFI, banner tow pilot, skywriter, and corporate pilot before going in the USAF. IOW, he was one of us.

Tuesday looks iffy due to the weather, and (judging by the number of airplanes on the field) many pilots remember 2011 and are staying home. Wednesday-Sunday looks great, including the Wednesday night airshow. (remember, you will NOT be allowed to depart after the Wed/Sat night airshows).

Air Combat Command is pulling out the stops to help us make up for the loss of the T-Birds, some of the acts are still being firmed up but from what we were briefed on this morning you're not going to be disappointed if you come, and during the Saturday night airshow we're going to have the fastest airshow flyby in history . (Not a joke.)

Field was IFR from ~930am-4, between 1130-1300 there were violent thunderstorms on the field with heavy rain and lightning. There was a brief break but with low ceilings and some rain, the field was IFR, and we scratched the airshow at 1445. About 1600 there was a gradual clearing, and by 1730 we had a beautiful evening going and a steady trickle of arrivals.

I think tomorrow is going to be insane with people flying in and post-frontal winds. Come early, and enjoy.

Was that you leaving around 6pm, Wayne? Sorry we didn't get to meet up, I was looking for SeaReys in HomeBuilt parking but didn't see anyone.

I snuck away from work at the MRO show in Orlando for a few hours on Wednesday. Met Brett from the factory. He gave me well
over an hour of his time telling/showing me some of the upgrades incorporated in the last 3 years that I don’t have on my plane. I
walked away with a wish list.
Wish I had an opportunity to meet some of you but it was back to work after a quick few hours. (I left my wife holding down our
booth. She’s generous but I still like to sleep with both eyes closed)

yep . That was me, Steve. I spent the entire day with my older brother who drove in from Tampa.
We has a blast. He is a TPA
volunteer ambassador so we had VIP previleges at the TPA tent. Food, Drinks, ice cream and front
row seats! I also dropped some
C-notes in the vendor area. :-)
