I've noticed that the Seaplane Pilots Association's "Water Landing Directory" app provides an easy way to add waterways and various kinds of destinations--restaurants, lodging, flight schools, seaplane bases, etc. (You can add listings with a web browser, too, but the app version is cool, and you'll probably have it in your pocket.)
So if you have a favorite restaurant, lake, or the like, why not add it to the WLD's listing.
The app is free to SPA members.
The WLD is quite conservative, by the way: It lists only places they're SURE of and not places they don't know about. So if you don't find a body of water listed, that doesn't necessarily mean it's closed to seaplanes. (For example, several large lakes near where I live are open, but not "officially." They get lots of seaplane traffic, and no one has ever complained.)

Thanks for information about this app. Got mine up and running after getting a pw from SPA. Some of the lakes I am landing in have more "rules" than I thought - Corp of Engineers lakes!

One thing the Corpse of Engineers (not my invention but it fits) is good at is rules; as for friends, not so much.
