Paul Armstrong is a well known and respected float instructor here in Canada.
He and I have flown together for many years and our dock here in Turtle Cove is on his checkout
syllabus due to the winds encountered off the escarpment.
This past Saturday, he had a loss of hyd. fluid after the right main extended while approaching to
land at Buttonville airport near Toronto. Luckily, the right wheel retracted on touchdown.....but it
still looks a bit hairy. No damage to speak of.

Great landing! And what a relief it must have been.

Great landing. I'm surprised he kept the motor running. He would have had a lot more damage had it nosed over!
