My last working day will be Thursday April 9. I have to leave my assigned car at work that day. It would be a great metaphor to depart from work via Lake Killarney in my plane. I need to find someone that could pick up my plane in Groveland and meet me at 1700 hours by Hillstone restaurant (Houston's). From there I would fly of to the next phase of my life.

Dave, I am off that day and could do it if you can not find anyone else.

Congratulations Dave. I can do it if Charles cant for some reason. Nice way to leave your career. Enjoy every day.

Congratulations, Dave. What a way to leave work.
My last "real work day" was yesterday. My new schedule is one day a week from home. This is my second retirement but Barbara says it doesn't count since I still have a company laptop. The deal was too good to turn down.

Thanks guys. I'm a little worried about the weather. If so, I may have to turn my car in a couple days later, Monday April 13th. Right now I'm getting my stuff cleaned out of lockers & the trunk and swinging by all the frequent spots to say goodbyes.

Daniel, that was such a nice video, a great deed. I suspect Dave will watch it many times over the next 30!

Congrates Dave, I am glad to hear that you left in style. Looking forward to seeing you out at Grass Roots more often now.

Thursday April 9th, 2015, when I finished my last tour of duty, my brothers and sisters on the department escorted me to Lake Killarney. I left behind thirty years of my life and waded into the water to begin the next thirty. (Thanks Daniel)
