Heather and I heading to the keys next month from X04. Spending 2 nights in KW.
Any advice on SeaRey-ey things to do there or en route would be much appreciated. TIA.

You can't fly to the dry tortuga fort without a permit and after buying the permit, I talked with several pilots who operate comercial
seaplanes there. They may have been trying to scare off competition, but they made it sound like a highly dangerous place to land
with multi direction waves, rip currents and rogue waves. I chose not to go after one night in a hotel at a quiet runway between
tortuga and
marathon. (Sugar loaf)..although the hangover did help in that decision. The hotel was a dump but the visit was great.
