According to AvWeb, Vickers has finally built the flying boat that Icon used to claim they had designed. It's even heavier, though, and uses a bigger engine, the Rotax 916 iS.

Interesting story and I’m not surprised that it’s a “twin” of the A5. One thing that caught my eye in the picture is the aircraft looks to be in a left turn but the “aileron” on the right wing is deflected upward? Perhaps a radical design down under!

Good eye, Paul! I missed it. Could be it was just leveling off from a tighter turn. Or if it had a lot of adverse yaw, the pilot might have been trying to keep it from steepening the bank--but it's hard to believe it would have been designed to have that much adverse yaw.
