Ha! Just so.

Looks more like the ICON to me. Osprey has a lower wing and wing floats. It does have the DEATH canopy.

Maybe it's half and half, Jeff. The wings and sponsons look more like Icon, but the tail and nose are more like the Osprey. In any case, the canopy is a chiller.

http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/graphics/Osprey.jpg

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_zqFoq3qej2c/SFFKG6sw5rI/AAAAAAAAO7
s/KF_-VOsCEh8/s1600/Picture%2B57.png

Nothing that a set of exploding bolts and a mercury switch, run through the airspeed indicator, can't take care of.

Ed, the guy in the photo checking out the canopy hinges is thinking the same thing. When the canopy comes off in flight will the prop and tail survive?

Interesting engine configuration ....... I am guessing the engine is in the fuselage and the cowl is hiding a gearbox.

Just rub off the last part of the last letter of the name and you get: Hydropteror - very appropriate with the A hull and death canopy.
