Description:   Once in a while an Airshark kit pops up for sale and I get all stirred up and consider taking on the project. So I'm on a fact finding mission and would appreciate any information that any of you may have.

I remember the AirShark in the 80's and was sorry not much came of the company. This one here was for sale in 2007, but I not sure what happened to it.

Below is a link to a 1996 article that summarized the rise and fall of Air Shark. <br /><br />My first thought was, 'how fast does that thing have to land?' Sure enough, it was a problem. A second notion related to the first: what it must feel like to sit back in the rear seats, access to the canopies blocked, with only a small porthole, landing at high speeds.<br /><br /><br /><a href="http://www.aerocompinc.com/press/reviews/flyer/pilot.htm">http://www.aerocompinc.com/press/reviews/flyer/pilot.htm</a>

You mean this one: <a href="http://www.chooseyouritem.com/airplanes/files/8000/8487.html">http://www.chooseyouritem.com/airplanes/files/8000/8487.html</a> ?<br />Looks like it could bite you - 200 mph cruise !

No! You mean buy the whole kit business including one finished plane: <a href="http://www.avbooking.com/aircraft/airplanes/forsale/073628Y1TnD/experimental_airshark.html">http://www.avbooking.com/aircraft/airplanes/forsale/073628Y1<br>TnD/experimental_airshark.html</a>

The guy who designed these, Tom, now owns the Compair company. He is a very good guy to talk to about these airplanes (in fact, he has one being built in a hangar near his office at KCOI, Merritt Island.

Is that Ron Lueck? I sent an e-mail to Compair last night in hopes of some insight. I did receive an e-mail from the owner of the above aircraft and 'business'. The package is still for sale(of course). The Air Shark has always excited me as much as scared me, but I'm very curious and will continue on my fact finding mission!
