A couple dozen miles North of Fort Myers is nowhere, consisting of a 2000' grass strip, 2-1/2 DC-3's, an old Helicopter who's flying days are long past, and a Sky Diving Group. All and all, a perfectly lovely place to visit.

Several years ago they had some old DC-3s that were part of a mosquito control operation. It had become too expensive to operate them as spray planes and the county had switched to helicopters. The guy I talked to said they were offering a DC-3 type rating. I was tempted, but the airplanes looked pretty haggard. But, if they had been on floats....well...that would have been too lovely to resist.

A lovely video, in any case. The sound effect provided by the birds was a nice touch.
