I always thought it would be cool that if when I am ready to retire, I could buy a lot on a lake in Florida and designate it as a seaplane base. I planned to call it Moon Landing.

Unfortunately, the name is taken by a Florida seaplane base just outside of Orlando: FD21.

Guess if I ever manage to do such a thing I will have to call it Moonbase instead of Moon Landing....

It's funny that this was actually only about 20 miles from my old house outside of Kissimmee when I lived in Florida. I generally never flew that direction though, as I was hanagared in Apopka and generally avoided going near MCO airspace, and this place is just outside the surface level Bravo ring.

I guess so, lol. It's actually pretty cool. I'm probably making another trip down to Florida in August, so I will have to splash in at Moon
Landing.

Wayne, you should send that pic to NASA if you haven't already.

I wasn't kidding with Shannon, Mark. This is Graham a couple of weeks ago flying back from breakfast at the Venice Airport in our
1957 Cessna 310. His dad was in the back talking to Graham's sister. In this picture Graham was saying ...let's keep in down back
there, I am listening to ATC! :-)

Maybe you can call it Moon River SPB. That way you would have an official song/jingle that people would remember you by!
