Hi Jim. My name is Rick. I'm 60 years old and about to retire from my main job. I live in Orlando area and fly a Searey, although I
grew up in Ft Myers. My 86 year old father and other family members still live there. I fly down every 3 or 4 months. I spent
thanksgiving with my father. I'd be happy to meet you and your father or show him SW FL from the air. I just need some advance
notice. You're welcome to call me any time or when your father comes down again. Cell 407-312-2657. Rick

    Hello Jim.

Your father, Jim, is always welcome to call Ron,John, Syd, Frank and/or me. We met your dad on Free Hotdog Friday when he arrived.
We are all based at Page.
He is invited to the annual Page pilot BBQ this Friday.11-1pm. FREE FOOD... (a Searey pilot's dream! :-)
Clermont is having a Splash-in this Saturday. He can also participate in the Wreaths Across America event on December 17th. We fly
a loose formation over the boats that take the wreaths out in the Gulf to honor our servicemen/women who gave the ultimate
sacrifice. This is our 5th year doing this...

    From Dave-

"Hello All,

I just wanted to update you all on some information, and I have some questions I need answered from those coming. I need to
know from those of you coming what type of airplane and time(s) you plan on being there, and any other pertinent info you think I
should know. Even if you already RSVP'ed, please do again. The parking at Lilly's could get tight depending on how many people
show up. I plan on making sure this week we can fit everyone. If there was a large turnout, I will make arrangements to park
nearby, or my planes I can moor possibly to free up some space. I will let you know if there is any issues with us fitting on the
beach at least by Wednesday. I plan on having the "swimming area" that is usually buoyed off, available for us to park in. Please
RSVP and let others know that might be coming to let me know. Spread the word to your seaplane buddies, as I want a large
turnout!
The location is on Lake Minneola in Clermont.I will have a handheld radio on me while I am there and will monitor 123.37 for
incoming flights. I will also have a helper (Mike Harding) there to assist if I am busy. I suggest calling up on radio and saying a
couple times "Lilly's on the Lake, Lilly's on the Lake!" just to get our attention and then we will not miss your call. You can also
text me 386-248-2010 with any info you wish to send. I hope to make this a more common practice meeting up with local
seaplane pilots at different locations. The restaurant Lilly's is happy to have us and reached out to me to make this happen. It is
possible there may be a liability waiver the restaurant will want us to sign, for them to cover their rears. I will let you know if so,
but they are excited to have us in conjunction with the "Light Up Clermont" event going on right in front of the restaurant. Parade
starts at 12:30 and ends around 3 I was told. Not sure about the end time, but the Clermont official page lists start time at 12:30.

There's lots to do downtown. The parade, beach, playground next door, the downtown history center, (very short walk from
restaurant) Jeli's Painting, plus 'Light up Clermont'. The restaurant opens at 11, but we can arrive prior if need be. They have
bicycle rentals if you don't want to walk. I will probably bring my wife and kids with some games to play. They said they will
provide coffee, bagels, fruit if we have enough people RSVP'ing. I told them we would be leaving at or before sunset."

Thank you,
Dave Hensch

Two SeaReys from Leeward Air Ranch (mine and Peter Magnuson's) will arrive around 1100. The City's website shows the schedule
of events for Saturday:

SATURDAY, DEC. 3

City Hall Park, 7th and Montrose St.
10:00 AM – 2:30 PM Music and Entertainment

Montrose & 8th St.
10:00 AM – 3:00 PM Crafts and Food

Downtown Clermont
1:00 PM Holiday Parade

Clermont Performing Arts Center, 3700 S. Hwy 27
5:00 PM Lessons & Carols Concert by Montverde Academy

8:00 PM Lessons & Carols Concert by Montverde Academy

A check on Google Earth reveals that all activities are within three blocks of the beaching area. Newspaper articles show the
parade to be typical small town with high school bands, Corvette club, American Legion honor guard, car dealer floats, et cetera.
Between that, the food vendors and flying there, the day should be fun!
