My Searey has a new home. This morning I delivered her to her new owner in the finger lakes region of New York.
As sorry as I was to let her go, I know she'll be getting many more splashes where she's at now. The finger lakes region
sure has plenty of places to splash around. James will be joining the group soon, please help
him feel as welcomed as this great group has welcomed me. I've enjoyed the time I've spent with many of you either here
on these 2 great sites, in person or just on the phone. I hope I can still be of assistance in the future.

Congrats Paulo on finding her a new home. We'll be glad to help James with his questions. I notice the wings are lacking VG's
that may be one mod on the Classic James would want to do, that and washout plates if they are not installed.

    Russ,
I gave him the VG's I had. Never installed them because I would have wing covers installed when parked outside. The strut
plates have been on almost from the beginning. I've also hooked him up with Daniel to get some training done for him and
the instructor. He's working on a runway on his property, so far he has about 1100ft and will add several more soon. He's
got big plans to enjoy her.

You sure had a great day to deliver her. Are you getting a replacement ??

Dave, it was as nice a day as one can ask for, except for the headwinds. Looks like he's right across the pond from you. I also told him about the gaggle that John D has every year. He's
excited about it.

Sorry to see you take leave of your Rey Paul- hopefully you are planning on another one. Your loss might be my gain ---what finger lake is James on? You will have to post his info as I would like to invite him to our New York Seaplane group H2O pilots. We fly to different finger lakes mid week for fly in dinners during the summer. Coming up real (June 3rd) soon is the Speculator Flyin, located in the Adirondacks which should be a short hop for him. We might see Chuck Cavanaugh there if I can twist his arm.      Attachments:

    Kevin,
He's based out of a grass strip at Long Acre Farms airport (23NK) in Macedon NY, just east of Rochester. But will eventually move to his own runway that he's building close by that he just extended and seeded to 1500ft! Besides that, his family has a lakefront house on Cayuga lake. I couldn't think of a better arrangement than that. Please do invite him, he's excited to have others in the area.
As much as I wanted to keep my Rey, I wasn't getting the flying done that I wanted because of other responsibilities. For me to have a lakefront house and not be able to utilize was always eating me up every time I looked out back. For now I can enjoy the stories I read here and live vicariously thru the great folks on this site..

This one has changed hands again... new owner is Michael Williams of Watertown NY. I have provided him with some instructions on
how to access this site, so expect his request soon.

Not sure what you mean Brian- Did you sell yours and Michael is new owner. IF so did you tell him about the Speculator fly in?

Brian Furnell - May 28,2016   Viewers  | Reply
paulo sold his plane so some guy and he turned around and sold it to Michael. Guess he had some buyers remorse. Oh wait. He had
no license, maybe that had something to do with it. I still have mine. All prepped for speculator, except the long range weather
forecast looks like crap.
